.com) - So much for that 3-0 start. The Miami Heat look to get back on track and stop a two-game slide when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday at AmericanAirlines Arena. Miami suffered its second loss in a row Wednesday in a 96-89 setback against the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets ended a 16-game slide to the Heat, who were led by Dwyane Wades 25 points and seven assists. Chris Bosh continued his surge with 23 points and 13 rebounds. The Heat, who got no closer than 88-85, shot 39 percent and made only 4-of-22 3-pointers. The Heat had made at least nine 3-pointers in each of their first four games. It just seemed like we could never get over the hump, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said. We didnt play with great energy. Bosh has scored more than 20 points in every game this season and is currently sixth in the NBA with 24.2 ppg. He has three double-doubles in five games. In injury news for Miami, center Chris Andersen (ribs) and forwards Danny Granger (hamstring) and Udonis Haslem (quadriceps) are questionable versus the Timberwolves. The Timberwolves have alternated results in all five games this season and are coming off a costly 112-103 overtime loss in Orlando Friday night. Wolves guard Ricky Rubio suffered a left ankle injury in the second quarter and X- rays taken were negative. Rubio, who ended with four points and six assists, will be re-evaluated Saturday and was replaced by Mo Williams. He popped it pretty good, Minnesota coach Flip Saunders said. So well have to wait to see where its at tomorrow. Rubio signed a four-year contract extension with Minnesota last week and is currently third in the NBA with 10.0 assists per game. Kevin Martin had 21 points and both Nikola Pekovic and Corey Brewer scored 16 points for Minnesota, which made 43 percent from the field. Rookie Andrew Wiggins had just six points. Anthony Bennett is bothered by a knee issue and is questionable Saturday. The T-Wolves have a tough schedule ahead against Miami, Houston, New Orleans and Dallas on the slate. Minnesota and Miami split a pair of meetings last season with each team holding serve as the visitor. The Heat have won 11 of the last 15 games against the Timberwolves, who are 5-10 in the past 15 trips to Miami. Air Force 1 Cheap

.500 ball against teams with winning records, so they needed a huge lift from somebody Tuesday night in a matchup of division leaders.BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills added insurance to their raw, injury-depleted depth at quarterback by signing free agent Dennis Dixon to their practice squad on Tuesday. The Bills (2-3) made two other moves in shuffling their roster during an off-day before they prepare to host Cincinnati (3-2) on Sunday. Buffalo signed linebacker Ty Powell off the New York Giants practice squad, and promoted cornerback Brandon Smith off their own squad. The team freed up space on its roster by releasing linebacker Marcus Dowtin and cornerback Johnny Adams. Powell is listed at 6-foot-2 and 249 pounds. He played at both Harding and DeAnza College before being selected by Seattle in the seventh round of the draft in April. He was cut by the Seahawks before the start of the season. Quarterback continues to be the Bills key concern after rookie starter EJ Manuel sprained his right knee in a 37-24 loss at Cleveland on Thursday. Manuel is expected to miss at least two weeks and likely longer after coach Doug Marrone said Monday it was too early to determine a timetable for the players recovery. The Bills have turned to Thad LLewis to start against Cincinnati after promoting him off the practice squad Monday. Air Force 1 Sale
. The team has only one other quarterback on its roster, undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel, who struggled filling in for Manuel against Cleveland. Dixons signing came after he and fellow free-agent quarterback Pat White worked out at the Bills facility on Sunday. The Bills also expressed interest in signing former Tampa Bay starter Josh Freeman, who elected to instead sign with Minnesota. Dixon had three starts in four games over three seasons in Pittsburgh, who selected the Oregon product in the fifth round of the 2008 draft. He has completed 35 of 59 attempts with a touchdown and two interceptions. He spent the 2012 season on Baltimores practice squad, and then signed with Philadelphia this past off-season before being cut by the Eagles on Aug. 31. Dixons signing helps address the teams depth at the position, and provides him an opportunity to learn the Bills up-tempo style of offence. Marrone hasnt provided Lewis any assurances as to whether hell remain the teams interim starter beyond this weekend. ' ' '
